You Believe you are doing the "right" things. You Know what you want. So what makes it difficult to participate fully when the moment arrives? We will explore what happens before thoughts or stories, and what we can do to impact them before and as they arise.
Book a complimentary discovery call today and let's explore how Carpe DM Coaching can help you transform your life.
You know the experience.
You know what you want to say.
You know what you want to do.
But when it matters, your body tenses, your mind races, or you lose access to your authenticity and authority.

Pressure doesn’t erase what you know. It reveals how much of it you can still access when all eyes are on you.

Competition doesn’t test whether you have the skill. It tests how much access you have to the skill under pressure.

Self-expression isn’t saying everything. It’s staying authentic to yourself while saying what matters.

Creativity isn’t certainty. It’s what becomes possible when you can accept the unknown without abandoning what feels true.

A boundary isn't disconnection. It's where connection stops requiring self-abandonment.

Connection isn’t losing yourself in someone else. It’s staying with yourself while being fully with them.
It may be, "Can I remain present and available while I engage in something important to me?"
Every moment begins with energetic input. Your body receives and processes information through sensation and physiology before the mind can name it. Past experience and conditioning shape how we learn to react, which reduces access to authentic action and expression.

What arrived - and what was already present?

What changed in breath, tone, posture, temperature, pressure, movement, or energy?

What is the early orientation, gut and heart brains, without treating it as the final verdict?
With intention and awareness of breath, sensation, muscle tone, arousal, attention, and action, the mind has more information to work with.

What label, story, assumption, or plan appeared?

How did I avoid, express, suppress, request, or react?

What did life return, and what does that update?
Bracing. Restricted breath. Narrowed attention. Overthinking. Performing. Numbing.
Life is happening, and I'm reacting.
More breath. More sensation. More choice. Flexible attention. Greater options available.
I can stay with what is happening.
Awareness. Declaration. Choice. Action. Feedback.
I can participate in what happens next.
Through awareness, breath, and embodiment, we can restore access, regulate your system, and participate more intentionally...especially when it matters most.
Regulation is not a destination. It restores your access to participate.

Suppression confirms the reliance on external circumstances to determine our internal state of being. So, when we "become" bored, apathetic, or upset, we rely upon our phones, partners, or possessions to help us feel "better", rather than take ownership of our reaction.

Reliance on external sources stems from and perpetuates our conditioned mistrust in ourselves. When we don't trust something, we tend not to listen to it.

Suppression is the denial or minimization of something; self-suppression is the denial or minimization of the self. When we diminish ourselves, we diminish our actions, emotions, and thoughts. We overeat, become less active, or social, reinforcing our diminishment.

Suppression can be at the root of many other cognitive dissonances: depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and many other issues we see on the rise.

The more we discount something, the less we learn from it and the less familiar we become with it. If we view emotions and feelings as information, we can embrace and welcome as much as possible to be more informed.

Tension, stress, and inflammation are among the top determinants of projected health. Suppression keeps our system in a constant state of fight, flight, freeze, or fawm generating all in abundance.
